Something that I haven't really touched on much is men's fashion. It's easy to forget especially since this blog is mostly about women fashion. Recently I was hired to do a photo shoot, styling for men. It was an absolutely amazing experience! I've styled male friends before, and i'm constantly dressing my BF so it wasn't too intimidating. It also helped that the male model was a "diva," very much like female models i've worked with!
Model: Andrey Prikhidko |
The theme for the shoot was "American Marching Band," so think all American, old school look. This shoot is going to be featured in a new Philadelphia magazine, Stardust. So looking forward to it!
Photographer: Justin Julius Santos |
I got to work with this amazing photographer, Justin Julius Santos. His work is amazing, which is why I'm looking forward to what the end results look like!
Justin, working on a potential cover shot, for Stardust. |
Model playing with the photographer's adorable dogs. |
One of the clothes racks I got to work with. It's color coordinated, I try to be this organized with my closet! |
I knew I had to use this jacket, it was screaming American marching band! |
There was colored leather, green boots, feather shoulder pads, lace, jumpsuit cutoffs and tube socks! What a fun experience it was, I'm excited for the next photo shoot which will be underwater! Another new one for me!
Xoxo,
Jacqui
Looks like it's going to be a great spread! I just took a look at Justin's portfolio and I'm excited to see the end results!!
ReplyDeletePs - I tried to find a link to Stardust Mag online and wasn't able to find one. Do you have a link?
ReplyDeleteIt's a brand spankin' new magazine, its still being developed!
DeleteHow was I a Diva? lol not cool
ReplyDeleteLol, It was more of an assimilation or analogy to compare styling women and men. But you also kept saying how you didn't want to wear anything cuz you were too cool for school or something! :p
