The Lighter End of The Spectrum

As you might be able to tell from recent posts, I'm ready to dive into the Spring season! I love my jewel tones and neutrals but I am ready to start wearing my brighter colored wardrobe, often. One of the spring trends i'm ready to jump into is the pastel colors! Pastel colors are beautiful and just like spring, it signals rebirth, blooming, and youth. They're also in 90% of the magazines and catalogs out now! There's something about the colors at the lighter end of the spectrum that just scream out a new beginning. Can't wait to start my spring cleaning! An easy way to welcome the new season is by keeping just a few pieces rather than donning a whole new wardrobe of pastels. 

Pastel colored gingham shirts are one of my spring time favorites. It's a great alternative to the plaid or tartan printed shirts, plus it goes with nearly everything as well! 

I love the crispness of an all white ensemble. White just has this beautiful sophistication, with a pastel hint it just elevates the look even more! A jacket is an easy way to "up the ante" with your spring ensembles. You can mix and match a jacket with anything which makes it a great investment for years to come. 

The open knit sweater is a repeat attendee in the spring season! It's light and airy, and can easily be layered with other pieces and a great piece that can be transitioned into the warmer months. Looks especially beautiful when paired with a top of another color, that way you can see it underneath all of the holes. Kind of like a mesh effect. 

Last but not least, let's not forget the pastel colored jeans! One of the best ways to incorporate this color trend is by way of denim. Be it pale pink, mint, peach, lavender or periwinkle you are sure to have a plethora of options when getting dressed in the morning. Just make sure you pick out colors that compliment your undertones.
