The Shy Kids by Jacqueline Davis Moranti |
I absolutely heart blogging, it's become my obsession. It's a much healthier obsession than shopping! It feels great to relate and connect with people who share the same interest with you, there's just something about be-friending strangers that soon become a part of your speed dial. Nothing wrong with sharing your likes, loves, rants, ideas, disgusts, and feelings with others from all over the world. Never in my months of months of blogging, would I have thought that I'd one day call BurgundyWhispers my pride and joy. It's great to feel ambitious about something but when is too much too much? To all of you bloggers out there, where do you find the balance for blogging and your personal life?
Lately my BF keeps telling me he feels like he's dating the back of my head because i'm either working on an illustration, on Photoshop, or on Word Document typing out a post. I can't help it if I'm working towards my dreams and goals! I really am a workaholic, so much so that I've found myself saying no to going out to parties and such to work on art and making BurgundyWhispers bigger and better. Big realization! All of you hardworking guys and gals, what do you do?
Same happened to me. To me we should follow our heart. Hope you will also visit me soon :)

Thanks, You're very true! Already following you! Love your inspirational photos!
DeleteMy boyfriend and I once had an argument over my blog (well, okay. Three times). I tried to get him more involved, but he quickly decided no, being the other half of a blogging duo wasn't the life for him. (Blogging! not the relationship lol) I don't really know how to balance personal life and blogging. With social media, it can be hard to draw the line...
ReplyDeleteBut I do try to turn my phone upside down and really tune into the person in front of me at least 3 times a day. It helps. And, interestingly enough, the more you step AWAY from the computer and the phone, the more interesting tid-bits you will have to share later.
:)
It honestly feels that same way with me and mine. It's really hard to stay away from technology these days because almost everything nowadays is integrated with twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest and zillions of other things. I mean even the grocery store has a way of getting you to their site. Thanks for your feedback!
Deleteomg i feel the same way! my BF just moved in and hes constatly annoyed that Im either working my job (which is 50 hours a week at least) or working on my blog... but really what's most important is to stay motivated and continue reaching your dream. In the beginning its a lot of work so thats where i am at now, but managing the blog gets easier and goes by quicker as time goes by...
ReplyDeleteanyways, love to hear we are all in the same boat :)
