Some one asked me recently what my favorite holiday of the year is, and it took me a while before I could answer because I tend to collect all my thoughts before I answer. I came to the final conclusion that New Years Eve is definitely my favorite holiday of the year and here's why....
When the year comes to a close, its a great time to sit down and reflect on everything you've learned, mistakes made, goals attained, limits pushed and experiments conquered. New Years Eve is a time when people all over the world get together and rejoice in the same thing, happiness and life for the future. This is one of the few holidays that has nothing to do with religion, or where you live in the world because it affects every single person and that to me is the beauty of it.
The adults and children of the world come together to celebrate another year of living and plan ahead for future achievements to gain. I'm looking forward to a new year of adventure, lessons, firsts, victories, love and curiosities. Let's all resolute to not focus on the negatives or the mistakes but encourage ourselves to go forward. Happy New Year dear readers!
Happy new year! It was so great meeting you this year, hope 2015 is filled with incredible opportunities! (Which, I'm sure it will be).
