Spring is finally here! After a long and dreadful winter season, warmer weather is welcomed with wide, open arms and ofcourse Spring fashion! This season I'm ready to shake things up by playing with shapes and proportions in my ensembles. There are many ways to change your look but for me, building shapes with my wardrobe is a bit daunting but also very inviting! A pair of culottes is the best way to start a very fashionable Spring season!
Culottes are the gaucho pant's older, and much cooler sister. Culottes are longer than bermuda shorts but a tiny bit shorter than cropped trousers, yet looser fitting. They're great for the warmer months because of the loose fit and airy fabrics. This one in particular is one of my favorites because of it's box pleats, high waist and neutral appeal. This pant style can also cause a bold statement!

The sculpture of this look was built upon the culottes, wide legged paired with a slim fitting top and drapey jacket. This is only the beginning of my play on shapes! As I experiment with the neutral shades of the color wheel, I find myself learning more and more about how to pick out pieces that will stand the test of time. It is also how I manage to reduce my closet to only the garments I will actually wear. Dear readers, how will you change up your style routine this season?
They look so beautiful on you!
