Lately I've been doing a lot of listening to podcasts. I will always love music but sometimes, I would much rather be informed than entertained. When drawing, walking the dog or even working out, you might find me listening to podcasts. From political to comedic, eye opening and jaw dropping I listen to them all! Its hard to pick a favorite because it all depends on the topic at hand, but of course fashion is my one true love! Fashion podcasts are hard to come by especially one with an anthropological perspective. The Seams makes that possible!

The Seams brings the human experience of wearing clothing to the forefront. Founded by an NPR native and veteran journalist, Jacki Lydon that discusses the untold stories behind the garments we love. Fashion is one of the world's multi billion dollar industry, although it rarely touches upon the culture or politics that goes into one piece. The Seams was created to talk about that, and more.
There are nine episodes out already, and of course i've delved into them all! In it's premier episode, The Seams talks about how one novelist got inspired by a traffic stop in the most interesting ways. Episode eight (I've included below) is my favorite so far because it focuses on the revolutionary, and first ever NYFW for menswear. If you know me then you know my affection for mens garments, pleated trousers, oversized sport jackets, brogues, ties, vests and many more pieces that make up the fabulous style for men. Menswear is finally getting the light it deserves, since it's always competing with womens wear.
Dear readers, if your looking for something quite adventurous to listen to, then I would highly recommend listening to The Seams. Intellectual fashion history at it's best! I'd love to hear your thoughts about it and be sure to check out the audio below!
