A few weeks ago, I met an amazing fashion designer in Philly that creates wearable tech fashion designs, Leslie Birch. Leslie's inspirations sparked from a technical festival she attended years ago in New York, Wired NextFest. From that point on, she knew she found her true calling. What's inspiring and refreshing about Leslie, is that she's pushing to see more women in the tech world. With the tech and programming industry becoming increasingly popular, it only makes sense for more women to dominate it, right?
This weekend, I'll be modeling one of Leslie's designs during the Fashion Hack Show! The event will be full of amazing concepts and ideas for fashion designers and enthusiasts alike. I'm looking forward to learning how the designers at the show interpret fashion with programmed objects and garments. And i'm also looking forward to modeling Leslie's design and giving a proper walk down the runway, hopefully my modeling classes from years ago paid off!
If you can stop by this event on Saturday, it would be great to meet you and talk about all the awesome there!
