Shopping in America has never been so easy. With over a million different retailers to choose from, one is never short on options! From high end to low brow, timeless to trendy, bright to bold, every one will fit the bill for the right retailer thats tailor made for them. Occasionally, shopping can feel quite daunting and dare I say boring! What if I don't want to wear what everyone else is purchasing, am I to give in because of my big, yet seemingly small options?! Fresh, new and still complying to my wardrobe's "dress code" is all i'm after, that's where European fast fashion retailer, Primark steps in!
Primark has graced the grounds of the UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France and many more European countries. Founded in the Republic of Ireland, 1969 it lent the world quality and contemporary designs at value for money prices. Now with 290 stores, it has finally crossed over the pond to give Americans the opportunity to dress like a European! In September of this year, Primark opened it's first store, stateside, in Boston, MA and the second store is placed in Philadelphia's King of Prussia Store. I've been following some fashionistas from London that constantly talk about Primark, so when I found out it was coming to Philadelphia, I was very excited! The grand opening of the KOP store will be on Wednesday morning (11/25), 11am with a special ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the special occasion.
Not only that, Refinery 29 and Primark teamed up to bring Philadelphians an exclusive event to explores the Primark shopping experience with interactive activations, a fashion show, live music, photo booths and #ClubPrimania! The celebration included Icona Pop, The Misshapes and Keke Palmer for the musical performance. For those of you that are not familiar with what Primark can offer it's consumers, this international style staple will encompass a full range of the brand's key offerings including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and home goods.
My favorite part of the event, would definitely have to be the fashion show. It was completely unexpected and totally unconventional, my favorite kind! The models were one catwalks above our heads and the stage, you could see them walking towards the end of it and as soon as they were all out there, the music got heavier, more bass, more percussion, more treble. That was when the models broke out in dance! It was amazing to see it take place and it also showed us the versatility of Primark's clothes. Primarks's current look book highlights their best outfitting choices for the holiday season, I've chosen a few of my favorite looks below!
Primark's motto of "Be bold, stay fearless" is one to live by, especially while wearing their fashions! If you have yet to experience Primark, I dare you to do so! Also, if you're in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, check out the grand opening at the King of Prussia mall! Dear readers who have and haven't checked out Primark, let me know what you think of this fabulous brand!
