The Color Of The Season

As a designer, needing to know the right tools, supplies, materials and trends is of the utmost importance to keep your clients happy. You might be wondering, "Why are trends so important?" Staying abreast with what's popular helps keep you in the know, that way you can make your work stand out from the crowd or match the public's opinion. A trend that I find truly fascinating is that of the most popular colors for the year, usually it's the most searched and dowloaded colors that make the top tier and this year's colors are nothing short of beautiful!

Obviously the people of the world are leaning towards bolder colors, blues- greens to deep blues and purples. The top four colors can very well create a beautiful palette all together, unconsciously I've noticed that my work has elements of these colors too! It's great to know that I've subconsciously been using these colors in my palettes. 

These colors can also apply to fashion, as soon as color of the year is released brands start to market with it by creating garments with that color. This is especially evident in fashion shows after it, during the Fall/ Winter runway events. Check out the widget at the bottom to see some of my favorite pieces in the top trending colors!

Color is a fun element to many of life's decisions, from what color to paint your kitchen to what color to paint your nails. Yes, my wardrobe is 95% neutrals but I look forward to injecting color elsewhere via accessories, furniture and my designs! Dear readers, what do you think of these trending colors?
