The Wanderlust

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

I  have to admit something to you, my dear readers, I have the travel bug, and have had it for years. Ever since I've stepped on my first plane at the ripe age of four years old, to Venezuela, I've been addicted. Traveling is like a drug, the more you do it, the more you want to keep doing it. I know more about foreign cities than I do my own and I've even given travel advice. I plan out trips and itinerary for future adventures and sleep with my passport! I'll share with you some of my wanderlust and travel destinations to possibly pass the addiction on to you!

As a woman from a large hispanic family, South America is quite appealing especially when the language is fluent and easy. Bolivia has been on my mind for years, it's a hidden secret of the great South Americas. Bolivia has mountainous ranges, deep lakes and rivers, with plenty of llamas and alpacas to accompany your walks from the beach! Traveling to Bolivia is fairly inexpensive, with tons of activity for anyone's taste. I would go because it has one of the fewest travelers and beautiful white sand beaches.

Argentina is one the top places to visit of all time, it's not on my bucket list because it's trendy but because it it's the southernmost country of South America and has an heir of elegance like none other. Of course if you've seen my social media channels then you must know my addiction to wine, Argentina is known for some of the world's best vino and a winery located in a cave! Also, the Patagonia mountain resides in Argentina, which is one of the world's most dangerous trek, perfect for those adventure seekers! Iguazu Falls is another modern marvel in this country, ever since seeing Angel Falls in Venezuela I've been in love with water falls since.

Denmark is coined the happiest country in the world, with that kind of title, wouldn't you want to see it and experience it for yourself too?! With a bustling art and cultural scene, it also is the biggest "foodie" destination in all of the Nordic countries. Between the castles, the viking history and the Legoland, there's so much to do and see in this European country.

Stone temples and emerald rice paddies, Indonesia is emerging as a sophisticated destination. With a huge culinary landscape and beautiful views to go alongside. If you've read Elizabeth Gilbert's "Eat, Pray, Love" then you must be familiar with the spiritual town of Bali. And then there's Ubud, with the sacred monkey forest sanctuary, imagine feeding monkeys out of your own hands!

These are just a few of my wanderlustings, believe me this list can go on for miles as I yearn to travel the world with fashion and pride! If you're like me and have a drawer full of postcards then you too have the travel bug, don't deny it just let it consume you! Dear readers how do you feel about traveling?
