At the dawn of a new season, there's always those few days or even weeks in which it's a bit cold at times and then the temperatures suddenly rise throughout the day. That's exactly how the Fall season is here in the northeastern states! I would much rather prefer the days stay warmer than colder but that's not being realistic. On days like such, I try to layer smartly, my secret to staying cool and warm is simply a vest! It's a piece that's often overlooked but essential to all of our closets.

Vests are versatile, they can be worn alone like a top, worn over a long sleeve top of a different color and you create a cool contrast, I've even worn a vest over a jacket! This essential piece in our wardrobes are definitely underrated because cardigans and jackets get pushed more often. It's true, I have both cardigans and jackets but I also have a slew of vests too. This one in particular is one of my favorites because of it's crisp lines, the asymmetrical hem plays on that feature.

This season is great and beautiful, I want to enjoy it as much as possible, especially since it only lasts for what seems like a minute!
