Her.

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

What turbulent times we're currently living in. From chaos to unpredictability, this election season is definitely one for the books, and yet the choice for president has never been a difficult one for me this year. I believe in someone with a comprehensible resume, someone who spent most of their life and soul to helping out others, and someone who understands the infrastructure of politics, inside and out. I have been in a position before in which I was a hiring manager, resumes are a big deal and the right one makes all the difference. For me, it's quite obvious to choose the candidate with the background that matches the description and fills all the prerequisites needed for the coveted position. This is just one of the many reasons why I'm with her!

As a woman, especially of a minority group I feel that it is my civic duty to vote. It has been less than a century since women were allowed to vote, back then women were considered second grade citizens who weren't allowed to have a voice. To this day there are still some things that limit the power that woman can have like pay equality, reproductive rights, and maternity leave.
My brother and I are both first generation kids, we were both the first in our family to be born in the United States of America, my parents migrated from Venezuela in the early 80s because they knew it was the land of opportunity and gave it a shot. They came over, legally, with no family, no friends, just work. I agree that immigration reform definitely needs a looking over but to close the doors on every one is not the answer. What ever happened to the American Dream, is that just a concept for a select few and not everyone? Clinton supports a comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship, she also speaks up for racial justice because she understands that the LatinX community, the black community and especially women are not monoliths. We live in a progressive time where everyone is moving forward so why take a step back 150 years? Thanks to Shirley Chisholm and Gracie Allen for shaping the stepping stones to push Hillary Clinton to the pedestal because it has been a long time coming.
Her resume tells a story of fierce intelligence and considerable experience with policies that are clear, sound and hopeful. With that being said lets take a look at Clinton's most iconic beauty looks....

Hillary Clinton proves that being a politician never stops her from switching up her beauty game and turning heads! Red lips and lightly lined eyes are her trick with carefully coiffed hair.
Yes, I understand that Clinton hasn't been the perfect candidate, but she could be the qualified leader to heal the division in our deeply divided America. Women won the right to vote in 1920, it has taken us nearly a century to put our nation on the brink of putting a woman in the highest office of power. I'm ready to put this election behind me and reflect on the America I want to see for myself, my family, and my country: optimistic, forward looking and modern.
